You don't have to do the event as described above, but if you don't, you won't finish enough cities to win enough rewards to complete any buildings or upgrades. and then it requires another 1 hour of play to get the next city going. by the end of the first day it's on the long haul that you can let it run while you sleep overnight but then you need to be on it again the next day to finish up. then it requires another check in something like 2-4-6-8 hours throughout the day. St Pats style event requires a full hour of play at the beginning of every city to get it producing. Once a year is special, more than that isn't. This event is the most demanding of all the ones offered and the point is well taken about the time of year it's being repeated - or even if it should be repeated. City shield, collection times, and out producing the plunderer are all defences against your opponent. It’s your choice whether the plunderable buildings are a good trade off from whatever else you could place in your city But you are able to create a plunder immune city if you wish. A lot of special productions are also so small that even if you’re plundered you’re still up on what the plunderer takes as you can fit multiples in the same space that a single ordinary goods building would take up.Īlso, it’s not stupid to have some buildings that can be plundered. Sets and special production buildings don’t have the motivation protection but they make up for it by being able to produce when not motivated (only so much aid you get each day).
